Fa. STRUNK CONNECT presents a new solution for FLEX-BUSBAR applications.
FLEX-BUSBARS are flexible HV connectors that are used in the field of electromobility for power distribution. This can affect applications in the battery sector (storage) or in the busbar electrical system. The purpose of these connectors is to compensate for possible tolerances in the routing strategy in the HV wiring system. The FLEX-BUSBARS can be customized according to the desired flexibility:
- stacked from individual films with a thickness of, for example, 0.05mm to 1mm in any number or from
- Braids in the desired cross-section
exist.
In both variants, the ends are welded over very large areas. For optimum current transmission, processing areas of up to 1000mm2 are required in these cases, i.e. STRUNK welds the foils or compacts the strands in one stroke over these areas with the new three-phase machines. These systems are characterized by optimal power distribution over these very large areas and enable
without direct
cooling of the components by flooding them with water and reliable welding using resistance welding technology. Thanks to the special design of the STRUNK technology, the process speed is many times faster than previous processes on the market. The elimination of water as a cooling medium in direct contact with the foils or strands completely eliminates the inevitable oxidation of the HV connectors and makes time-consuming drying of the finished components obsolete. The high process speed also prevents the surfaces from tarnishing. This means that the function and service life of the HV connectors are not impaired. STRUNK offers on request:
- manual systems,
- as well as customized and turnkey systems for the production of these connectors.
Optional downstream punching and smoothing processes also enable surface quality for subsequent production processes.
